It all started during a global pandemic when people were isolating, deciding which TV show to binge next, or finding new hobbies like collecting plants. Which just so happened to be one of the first questions Jaime asked Nathan when they began talking on Bumble. What was your favorite plant in your collection? Little did he know that question would lead to finding another plant lover who has a much greener thumb than he. Jaime was moving back to Wisconsin from Cleveland as they started talking to be closer to family. Nathan was busy tending to his house and going to school, but these events wouldn’t deter these two from making something happen. As the two started talking more and more, they finally agreed to meet. As we were in a global pandemic, the only exciting event Nathan could think of was inviting her over to his house to meet his dog, Skye, watch a movie, and eat cousins subs (I know very romantic). Before Nathan could let this amazing woman go, he asked her to (on the first date no less!) be his girlfriend. Between dates eating pizza on the floor of Jaime's new condo in Thiensville and taking a winter adventure to Egg Harbor, they knew this was going to be something that would last and lead to even bigger adventures.

We planned a Northeast roadtrip together to shop for a ring. Sunday store closures, long lines and being ignored by sales reps stifled our plans until we stumbled on to a Nantucket store selling estate jewelry. When Jaime bought Nathan a photoshoot with Skye for his birthday, Nathan saw the perfect opportunity to propose. Nathan is not a good liar, which is normally a great thing, so Jaime threatened to say no several times because she was not ready to start the planning process and wanted to pass her exams. Luckily, she came to her senses and said yes to his adorably well-planned proposal, and she passed her exam in May.
