Our love story isn’t your usual fairytale—and honestly, we wouldn’t have it any other way. We met at a kid’s birthday party (shoutout to Jaidyn for being the ultimate wingman). We started talking, hit it off instantly, and the rest is kind of a blur—in the best way. Things moved fast, but when you know, you know. Not long after, JR joined the military because… why not make things interesting, right? We did the whole long-distance thing, which wasn’t always easy, but somehow we made it work. Years later, we got married, bought our first home in Colorado, and started building a life together. Then came JR’s first deployment—Talk about a crash course in “for better or worse.” But even through the chaos, the homesickness, and the long nights, we stayed solid. Our journey hasn’t been picture-perfect, but it’s been real, full of love, and uniquely ours. We’ve been through a lot—and laughed through most of it. Now we’re ready to celebrate our crazy love story with all of you! ——————————————————- 12.14.2013 Nuestra historia de amor no es el típico cuento de hadas—y, sinceramente, no la cambiaríamos por nada. Nos conocimos en una fiesta infantil (gracias a Jaidyn por ser el mejor cupido). Empezamos a hablar, conectamos de inmediato, y el resto… bueno, es un poco borroso, pero de la mejor manera. Todo pasó rápido, pero cuando lo sabes, lo sabes. Poco después, JR se unió al ejército porque… ¿por qué no hacerlo más interesante, verdad? Vivimos la experiencia de una relación a distancia, que no siempre fue fácil, pero de alguna manera lo logramos. Años después, nos casamos, compramos nuestra primera casa en Colorado y empezamos a construir una vida juntos. Y luego vino el primer despliegue de JR—una verdadera prueba de “en la salud y en la enfermedad.” Pero incluso con el caos, la nostalgia y las largas noches, seguimos fuertes. Nuestro camino no ha sido perfecto, pero ha sido real, lleno de amor y totalmente nuestro.
