We're getting Married!

Bailey Benton and Jaiden Augustine's story started at North Carolina State University, in the fall of 2016. They were set up by mutual friends for a date function but neither could have predicted the friendship and love story that followed. They seemed like an unlikely pair at first, but sometimes, opposites attract in the most magical ways. As they got to know each other, and spent time in and out of each others inner circles, it became evident that they shared a deep connection beyond just the date function. They discovered common values, interests, a love for adventure, and an unspoken understanding of each other. As they navigated their first year at NC State, Bailey and Jaiden's friendship flourished. They spent countless late nights studying together, sharing stories, and talking about everything & anything. It didn't take long for their bond to evolve from friendship to something more. After a summer apart talking to each other everyday they returned to school in the fall eager to see each other again. On September 21st, 2017, Bailey pulled Jaiden away from a mixer to the roof of the fraternity house where he asked Jaiden to be his girlfriend. Their relationship continued to grow as they supported each other through the ups and downs of college life. Together, they tackled the challenges of college and discovered the beauty of partnership. Over the years, their love only deepened as they started new chapters of life together. They graduated from NC State and moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to start their careers. They then adopted a furry friend, Jax, in April 2021. They continued to grow and purchased a home together in May of 2022. Bailey and Jaiden's love story is a testament to the idea that sometimes, the best relationships begin as friendships. Through their shared laughter, adventures, and unwavering support for each other they have found not only love but also a best friend for life in one another.

Bailey surprised Jaiden with a romantic proposal on July 8th, 2023, in Charleston SC, at the Pitt Street Bridge. Jaiden thought they were assisting her friend, Emerson, with work and had no idea the day would turn into something even more magical. Emerson had played her part well, and she had convinced Jaiden that they had a fun-filled evening ahead with fake plans to keep them occupied. But as the sun began to set and as a storm approached, Bailey got down on one knee and asked Jaiden to marry him, and she joyfully accepted. But the surprise didn't end there, Bailey and Jaiden's friends and family suddenly emerged from down the street cheering and clapping waiting to join in the celebration. The storm magically passed around the engagement and quickly turned to clear skies after Jaiden accepted. The evening continued with a perfect sunset sailboat ride, marking the beginning of their journey as an engaged couple.
