Yes! Our venue location has changed from Mandeville to Welsh, LA. The wedding will now take place at Le Lieu in Welsh. For travel purposes please keep in mind that the original location is about 2 hrs 45 min away from our new location.
The dress code is semi formal. So, it’s your day to dress to impress if you so choose! Dresses, skirts, slacks, khakis, chinos perhaps, the choice is yours. We only ask you please try to avoid ripped jeans and flip flops (sandals are just fine!)
Unfortunately the venue we’re at only allows a certain amount of guests, so unless your invitation indicates “Plus 1” or includes the people of your household, we are unable to accommodate the additional guests but your presence will be greatly missed.
We love your kiddos! But unfortunately, as stated previously, we are only allowed a certain number of guests so unless indicated on your invitation, we ask you enjoy a night to yourself to celebrate with us!
Both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors. So no need to worry about rain other than walking in and out of the venue!
The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:30 pm. Please be in your seats, ready to go at 4:15 pm, we ask that any late arrivals please hang back.
We will have a bar with a variety of beer and wine, as well as signature cocktails for our 21+ guests until the tab runs out! Once that happens, a Cash Bar will be available with a great selection of wine, beer, and liquors. Please be sure to bring your ID, the bar is staffed with licensed bartenders and will not serve you if you don’t have an ID! Please drink responsibly and make sure you have a safe way home!
Unfortunately, the venue does not allow cars to be parked on their property overnight. So for those drinking, please plan for a safe way to get to and from the venue, either from a DD or through a rideshare service.
We have listed a handful of potential options for your stay in Louisiana under the “Travel” tab, feel free to browse the selections we have provided, or you can search “hotels near Welsh, LA” for other options.
There are 3 major airports that you could potentially fly into. Lake Charles, Lafayette, and New Orleans. The Lake Charles airport is 36 minutes from Welsh, La. The Lafayette airport is a 1-hour drive. And the New Orleans airport is about a 2 1/2-hour drive.
Please RSVP by February 15th. This allows us to give accurate final numbers to the venue, bar, and catering.
