Amanda and Nathan first met through a swipe in the summer of 2022. Their first date was originally planned for dinner at a Mexican food restaurant, but as Amanda stated, a “hypothetical opportunity” to attend a Phillies game presented itself. Both considered the consequences if the date went poorly; stuck sitting next to each other for 9 innings of baseball in nearly 100 degree weather. Despite the concerns, they each decided to take the gamble and attend the game. They instantly hit it off, and could not wait to plan a second date. Bonding over their love of Golden Retrievers (or really any animal), tacos, Phillies baseball, introducing each other to new music, Amanda and Nathan quickly became inseparable. They enjoyed cooking new dinner recipes together, traveling to Mexico, Maine, and Jamaica, and caring for their two cats, Odin and Laney. In April of 2025, Nathan and Amanda adopted their brickhouse of a puppy, Margo. Shortly thereafter, unbeknownst to Amanda, Nathan had purchased a ring. One Friday in July after work, Nathan decided he couldn’t keep the secret any longer (one week was too much). He stopped home to retrieve the ring and place it in his pocket before meeting up with Amanda, who was out shopping. When they returned home, Nathan proposed to Amanda with the assistance of Margo and a ring box dog toy. They celebrated that evening with their immediate families, and kicked-off the wedding planning shortly thereafter. We are looking forward to celebrating the big day with you all!
