Our Story
Despite similar upbringings, both growing up in the suburbs of Chicago and attending the University of Michigan, we finally crossed paths as post-grads in Chicago. If only we had bumped into each other as undergrads at Rick's!
We immediately hit it off, connecting on our shared values of family, friends, and living active lifestyles. As Zach rooted on Shayna in her countless individual triathlons and marathons, he grew his own desire to compete, eventually going on to win the first annual Lutz Thanksgiving triathlon competition with Shayna. Zach's passion for skiing has also rubbed off on Shayna, locking her in for one day of skiing per year.
We have built a very happy life over the past few years. We love living in Lakeview together, and sometimes the slow weeks are our favorite -- going for walks around the school by our apartment, biking the city, and spending date nights at Topo Giggio.
