Lenard and Jagvir first met through a mutual friend, who introduced Lenard to Jagvir by saying, “I have this roommate who’s a little older.” Now, considering that Jagvir was already a couple of years older than their friend, she assumed “a little older” meant much older—maybe even a 50-year-old man! To her surprise, Lenard was only three years older than she was. Needless to say, she was relieved and happy to meet him. Their story began during the COVID pandemic, but even a global lockdown couldn’t keep them apart. As their relationship grew, Jagvir moved to Leduc/Edmonton to pursue her schooling, and before long, Lenard followed. Anyone who knows Jagvir knows how much she loves animals. But above all else, her soul dog, Molly, holds a special place in her heart. From the very first day they met, Molly adored Lenard—and the feeling was mutual. Seeing the bond between them meant everything to Jagvir, and in that moment, she knew Lenard was the one.
