Jagger and Jess were first introduced to each other via text message in July of 2020 by a mutual friend (if you know you know). While messaging back and forth, Jess mentioned that she had an extra permit to hike half dome that week in Yosemite National Park and invited Jagger to come along. Surprisingly, Jagger said yes. He drove from the few hours from Reno to Yosemite where the bride and groom met for the first time in person and hiked 18 miles together. Over the next few months, they lost touch while Jagger was working in Reno and Jess was starting medical school in Alabama. But they reconnected Christmas break 2020 and started officially dating when Jagger came to Alabama to visit. The couple made it through long distance for two years—going on lots of adventures together—Olympic National Park, New York City, Boulder, Sayulita, Costa Rica, and more. Eventually, Jagger selflessly made the move to Alabama (ew) for the remainder of medical school. 2024 was a a big year for both the bride and groom—Jagger bought his first business in Houston and Jess matched into an OBGYN residency program in Chicago. Then they got engaged on a hike in Switzerland!!! They are now planning their wedding together from Chicago and can't wait to see you all there!
