Hocking Hills Canoe Livery is open until mid-October. With Ohio temperatures, September can still make for some pretty hot days. I have been kayaking/canoeing on the Hocking River many times and it is always a lot of fun. During a kayaking trip, Jagger & I jumped off of one of the bridges on the river.
The place of jagger and I's first date. There is a lot of cute shops to visit! Some of our favorite places are E.M. Smith Family Jewelers (very kind owners -- Jag got my ring here!), Maggie's Aromatics, Wheatberry Books, Ivy's Home & Garden, Grandpa Joe's Candy Shop, Apollo Records, and so much more!
Jagger and I also visited this beautiful park on our first date. We had a picnic and were visited by several ducks and swans. Two years later, we came back to this spot and Jagger proposed. The swans came back to visit us during our special moment.
My favorite coffee shop ever! Also another place we visited on our first date. I have studied here frequently for nursing exams -- it is a very peaceful atmosphere. The workers and owners are very kind. Coffee is amazing! They also offer brunch until 2pm. The address listed is their Circleville location but they are also located in Chillicothe @ 97 E 2nd St, Chillicothe, OH 45601.
If you are a lover of antiques, this place is super neat. 3 floors of beautiful antiques and decorations :) I love strolling through here during my free time.
German Village is a beautiful neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio. It is unique for the brick roads & brick buildings that are in very close proximity. The neighborhood's landscape is so beautiful in the spring/summer months - making it very pleasant to stroll through. There is several small businesses located throughout the neighborhood, as well as a big park called Schiller Park. Some of my favorite places in german village are the book loft, staufs, pistacia vera, lindeys, vernacular, fox in the snow cafe, and schmidts sausage haus! This has become a comfort place of mine.
Located in German Village, this bakery offers some of the best pastries I have ever had! The coffee is amazing too. Definitely one of my favorite places to visit.
Surprise! Another coffee shop! I found Maudines when I was looking for a place to study -- it is a small coffee shop in downtown Columbus, close to COSI. It is connected to the lobby of the Junto Hotel. This is my favorite place to study by far - the lobby has amazing ambience. The lights are always dimmed, a fireplace in the center of the room, several tables, comfy seats/couches, books lining the walls, and big beautiful windows. It is definitely a peaceful place to have a coffee and chat.
