Nope. Just kidding. Well, somewhat. As college students in Austin, Texas, both Priti and Mehdi found themselves as dance partners in a competition eleven years ago, where they performed outside of the UT tower in front of a large crowd, dancing amongst their friends. So yes, there was music. And yes, there was a blue dupatta. So maybe it wasn’t a joke after all… ;)

Well don't stop there, what happened next?

Oh, sorry! So then they got to know each other under the auspices of the dance gods, which, if you know either of them at all, is a sign of true belonging. Instantly, they were friends. As they were both kind, generous, and (let’s face it) dorky people, it’s no wonder they got along! Little did they know that eleven years later, this friendship would serve as just one small part of a whole saga.

Yes, you heard right, this friendship marinated for eleven whole years! And as much as I could belabor this story and go into the sappy, icky details, I won’t. I’ll save us all the tears and the ‘awwws’ and just get to the good part – Priti and Mehdi are getting married! Finally, right? We know. And with that, we want to thank you for joining us for the momentous occasion. We can’t wait to eat, laugh, and dance the night away. See you there!
