Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman - Wailea
Lively spot with amazing food and cocktails in Wailea! Nothing fancy but awesome every time. Walk-in only and wait times can be long. Put your name down and go grab a drink somewhere else while you wait for them to text you that your table is ready.
Hotel Wailea, Relais & Châteaux
Gorgeous spot for a romantic dinner or sunset cocktails in the Bird Cage Lounge! This is one of our favorite spots on the island.

Best coffee shop in South Maui!
Koiso Sushi Bar
Probably the best sushi place...EVER! 8 seat sushi counter with a Japanese master sushi chef. Very casual setting. We are hesitant to share this since the reservations are nearly impossible to get, but here is the low down.. For November reservations, you will need to call on October 1st at exactly 5:00PM HST. You will probably get a busy signal for at least 15 minutes. Just keep calling!
Tamura's Fine Wines & Liquors Kihei
Doesn't look like it from the outside but seriously the best poke on the island. We love the Tamura's Special and Ninja. They also have a really nice wine store.
Nutcharee's Authentic Thai Food
Incredible Thai food. Not much of a place for dining-in but you'd be hard-pressed to find a better takeout option.
Paia Fish Market South Side
Great fast casual spot for a delicious fish sandwich. There are a few locations around the island.

The Triangle
The only place to "go out" on Maui! There are several bars here. Dog & Duck and What Ales You are probably your best bets but fun to check them all out

Snorkeling and sailing trips aboard a catamaran. Book early!!
Kayak/SUP Rental
Earlier in the morning the better! You might even see a whale or two! Keawakapu Beach is a great place to put in.
Hana
The famous Road to Hana! An absolute MUST during your time on Maui. Let us know if you need specific recommendations!
Waihee Ridge Trail
Beautiful 4 mile round trip hike (1,500 ft elevation gain). Go early in the morning!
Iao Valley State Park
Take a short walk to the viewpoint, take a refreshing dip in the Iao River, or hike the beautiful (but muddy!) Iao Valley Secret Trail.
Haleakalā National Park
Big ol' volcano in the middle of Maui. Drive up to the top for sunrise (book early) or sunset (no need to book). If you're feeling adventurous and want to feel like you're on Mars, hike a miles or two into the crater on the Sliding Sands trail!
Po‘olenalena Beach
Our favorite beach on the island! Park at the Po'olenalena Beach parking lot. As you walk toward the ocean, you'll find a trail at the right corner of the parking lot. Follow the trail around the rocks and you'll find Secret Beach!
La Perouse Bay
Beautiful, rugged seaside walk. Beautiful for sunset!
Makena Beach
Locals call it Big Beach for a reason. Endless golden sand and not a bit of development in sight!
