Leo and I met my freshman year of high school. We had an English class together and we shortly became friends after that. Unfortunately, I got into a relationship I shouldn’t have been in, and I had to cut off all contact with basically every guy in my life and on my phone. Two years later, when I was 16 after a rough breakup, I wanted to have a night out with my friends. I picked up Lydia and Jalissa and we went out to eat, drove around, and was listening to music. It was around 10 pm when we were driving past Rotary Park and I seen a bunch of the guys playing basketball. Leo happened to be there with his puppy, Gibbs (who we called Taco at the time). I fell in love with the pup, which led to Leo and I talking more over the phone and texting. We began hanging out at the park playing basketball just about any day I wasn’t working or in school. Neither of us were looking for a relationship, just someone to talk to about our crazy lives and actually listen to one another. A couple weeks of us hanging out, I brought my friend Jaiden to play with us. Of course, Jaiden (as always) had to say OUT LOUD “Did we come up here because you like Leo?” and the immediate “be quiet” that came out of my mouth after was a lot more quiet than his tone lol. Later that day after I got home, Leo had texted me. He said he heard what Jaiden said and he wanted to know if it were true, and I couldn’t lie, so I said yes. That led to us hanging out even more, longer days, FaceTime, and texting all throughout the day. I fell in love with his funny, smart, sarcastic, stubborn personality. We could talk for hours and never get tired of talking. We still don’t. For our first date, we went mini golfing. It was his first time, but of course he beat my butt in it, as usual in any sport. I was amazed at how talented he was. I don’t think I ever told him that. He was good at any sport we played (I always got my butt kicked) and he could literally answer any math question in a span of seconds. I fell even more in love. Shortly after that date, he told me he loved me (we weren’t even dating yet by the way) and he told me how special I was to him. I had felt something that I hadn’t felt in such a long time. On March 31 of 2022, after a date at Cracker Barrel, Ross, and Yogurt Mountain, he finally asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes! We have basically been inseparable ever since. We have had our ups and downs, as most couples do, but at the end of the day, our hearts want to be with each other. On April 25, 2024, we found out we were having a baby! She was very much planned, as we had been hoping for such a long time God would bless us with her presence. We found out she was a girl a few weeks later and suddenly our lives were full of pink, sunshine, and so much love. We welcomed her into the world on December 16 of 2024. Who knew she could make us love each other even more? Watching her wake up every day so excited to see her Dada makes me feel so rich in life. The smile on her face, the immediate excitement she gets, the “Dada!” she screams when he walks in the door are all very special parts of my days. To watch the baby we created fall in love with the same man I fell in love with four years ago is a kind of blessing that only a mother can explain. Our little family is so perfect. To be able to marry a man that loves me for who I am, our perfect daughter, and all the chaos, is such a blessing. I will forever be thankful for what I have. I cannot wait to marry my one!

The first time i remember seeing jaelyn was in english class. I didn't think she noticed me because i slept through the only class we had together. After a couple years when me and some friends were playing basketball she had came to the park because she had seen a mutual friend of ours. Jaelyn pulled up to the park to talk to adrian and i went over to her car with my puppy Gibbs (she called him taco) and she loved him. Then i noticed jaelyn started to come up to rotary more when i was playing basketball and started bringing a couple friends i assume because she didn't want me to know she had started liking me. Jaelyn started bringing her 2 friends and one of them had mentioned that she liked me and she didn't think i heard it but i did. I started to notice she liked me because she kept coming by when i was playing by kind of stalking me (creepy) and after hanging out with her n her friends, one mentioned she liked me. i texted her that night. I asked if she really did like me, i wasn't sure if he was saying that to be funny or if he was telling the truth. Turns out he was telling the truth, so we started texting more. We eventually started to hang out more for hours on end from afternoons to morning just sitting in her car listening to music and talking. We went on our first date to mini golfing for my first time ever and i won. i thought she just let me win cause she was bragging about how she has been a lot n was good but turns out she didnt. I eventually asked her out after our 3rd date after hanging out for a couple months and she said yes. We continued to go on many dates to resturaunts and escape rooms. I had told my mom i was going to hang out with jaelyn who she thought was a guy until we went to florida and my mom finally met her and fell in love with her as well. Jaelyn and my mom ended up becoming really close and was able to end up making desserts together and other hobbies they both enjoy. The trip to florida made me only love jaelyn more and more. Jaelyn and i had so much fun on the trip enjoying our time at peir park, on the beach, and eating tons of junk food we definitely didn't need. after a couple years we found out we were having a baby (very much planned) and i knew she is who i wanted to spend the rest of my life with. Shortly after we found out we were having a girl which threw us for a loop with us having a girl first, because my other brothers both had a boy first. Although we found out we were having a girl we still loved her even though she wasnt here yet we loved her more than we could express. Then december 16th at 7:24 little 6 lb 7 oz ximena estelle sanchez was born and our lives changed for the better and jaelyn instantly became such a great mother. Over the months of us having ximena, jaelyn adapted to being such a great mom to ximena, she is the light of our life and we love her so much. Mine and jaelyns family have both loved ximena from the time they found out. Then on thanksgiving i was nervous all day because i knew i was going to propose to her so i went outside to get the ring and planned it with my mom and her friend Heather. Me, my mom and her friend heather walked in and i walked to behind jaelyn as heather made an announcement to distract her so i can get down on my knee. As i got down on my knee, jaelyn was distracted so much i had to tap her four times before she turned around, and as she turned around i asked her to marry me. Jaelyn was in shock. Obviously jaelyn said yes and she couldnt stop admiring the ring even showing her friends and my mom as well as hers. All of her friends were so happy for her and i know jaelyn was so excited because she is jealous of ximena getting my last name before her. Now me and jaelyn are preparing for our wedding , her as excited as can be because her and my mom love planning and they get to do it together. I already love jaelyn so much and cant wait for the day we both say i do.
