Like many love stories, ours began in college before classes had even started. It was the summer before freshman year when we met through mutual friends who also happened to be Caleb’s roommates. One late night, a simple card game turned into something more. Friends drifted off to sleep and before we knew it, it was morning, just the two of us, a rising sun, and early classes calling our names. From that moment on, we were inseparable. Through early morning lifts, late night study sessions, COVID shutdowns, fall camp, and busy schedules, we always found time for each other. We fell in love quickly but deeply. Over the next five years, that love only grew stronger. We have shared so much: Cheering Caleb on through football seasons, moving into new apartments and out of old ones, finally getting a house, supporting one another through surgeries and school, and earning degrees. We have welcomed a few Aussie pups into our lives, some more planned than others, and we have created a home filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of dog toys. Caleb has a way of turning everyday moments into something unforgettable by planning thoughtful dates, surprising Jaelyn with sweet gestures, and always making space for joy. Jaelyn brings the fun, the light, and sometimes a puppy she picked up at the bar. Five years later here we are, still best friends, still each other’s favorite person, and more in love than ever. We are so excited to finally say “I do” and to celebrate this next chapter of our story with all of you.
