Jael and Jacob met during their sophomore year of high school in their AP U.S. History class. The first thing Jael noticed was how cute Jacob was. The first thing Jacob noticed was the toothpaste stain on Jael's sweatshirt, and then how cute she was. They became close friends quickly, then officially started dating April 7th, 2017 after she told him she liked him over their spring break. They graduated high school together, and three years later they graduated from the University of Oregon together. On September 23, 2023, almost 6 1/2 years later, Jacob got down on one knee and proposed to Jael - using her first, last, and middle name, which was a very special touch. They are so excited for this next chapter of their lives and to celebrate it with their closest friends and family.
