In 2018, Jael created her first vision board and started journaling, where she poured her heart into prayer for her future. One of her deepest desires was to meet the man she would one day marry. She made a list of qualities she hoped her future husband would possess and prayed that somewhere, he was praying for her too. In 2021, James also began seeking God’s guidance, asking for a wife and a family of his own. He prayed for God to lead him to the woman he was meant to be with. At the time, both James and Jael were leading incredibly busy lives. With Jael working full-time and James working seven days a week, it seemed impossible to meet someone organically. After much hesitation, but with encouragement from friends, they both downloaded a popular dating app in February 2021. Then, on March 1st, fate took over—it was a match! Just two days later, on March 3rd, they had their first phone call, talking for hours and effortlessly connecting. Before hanging up, James said something that would shape the rest of their lives: "This might sound crazy, but I asked God to send me a wife, and I think that’s you." Their first date confirmed what they already felt—it was love at first sight. And with every day that passed, their bond grew deeper and more meaningful. When the time came for James to propose, he did something that speaks volumes about his character and faith. Before approaching Jael’s father to ask for her hand in marriage, James went straight to The Father, God, seeking His blessing and guidance. Only after receiving that divine confirmation did he go to Jael’s father, honoring both their families and their faith in the process. On New Year's Day 2024, surrounded by Jael’s family, including her beloved late grandfather Elias Joseph, James proposed. Elias, who was a guiding figure in Joseph Family’s life, not only gave his blessing but also shared words of wisdom that will be cherished forever. Although Elias is no longer with them, this precious memory brings a sense of comfort, knowing that he gave his blessing before passing. If you ask Jael, she’ll tell you that James brings unconditional love, protection, calmness, excitement, encouragement, and laughter into her life. He has a way of making her feel safe and confident, like she can conquer anything she sets her mind to. If you ask James, he’ll tell you that Jael brings unconditional love, loyalty, reason, stability, and peace into his world. She makes him feel like he can take on the world with her by his side. Together, they are excited to merge their lives and families into one and look forward to creating a beautiful future together, filled with love, faith, and joy. "And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love." — 1 Corinthians 13:13
