Alex and Lauren met through mutual friends one night while Lauren was attending college in Boise, Idaho. At that time, Alex was in Indianola, Iowa at school for an apprenticeship. It was one of those situations where neither person was looking for a relationship. It happened out of nowhere. After getting to know each other over phone calls and text messages from states away, Lauren flew from Idaho to Iowa to visit Alex. Within a few months of that visit they were dating. Most of their relationship has been long distance. Alex’s apprenticeship required him to travel back and forth from Iowa, Nebraska, Florida, and Minnesota while Lauren finished her college education in Wisconsin. The distance provided them opportunity to travel and create endless memories. After 4 years of dating, Alex proposed to Lauren! Due to an insane decision to fly to another state to meet in person, they created a friendship and relationship that they are excited to celebrate with everyone that has been a part of our journey. We are thrilled to ask our family and friends to come celebrate with us. From the West to East Coast and the Midwest, we are hoping to have everyone join us for a special night that Alex and Lauren will cherish forever.
