Why not? To put it simply, we just wanted to. Hiking up a mountain and getting one on one time sounded like a dream. To put it simply, who all remembers every detail of their wedding day? We wanted something we remembered and weren't stressed over. Weddings are about the couple getting married and what they want. This couple wants to hike up a mountain!
Yes and No. We planned to go to Hawaii next summer for our honeymoon. However, my parents were planning on going there for their yearly vacation anyways. We'll still do the things we planned to do, but we will also join the family while we are there too.
After scouting out mountains on the east coast, this was our top pick! We absolutely fell in love with this place when we saw it. Preston and I both are outdoorsy people whether it be for hunting and fishing to kayaking and hiking. Hiking up this mountain to get married sounds perfect.
Nope! All you have to do is read this website and do what you will with it!
Finishing what we've already started. Our priorities right now are our careers and each other. We got the keys to our house the end of April and plan to stay there for the next 5+ years. Preston is currently in his career and just made the apprenticeship as of January. The apprenticeship is 5 years of "schooling" and working. After that he will move up to a Journeyman. I'm in college and plan to get my nursing degree. We want to enjoy where we are and finish what we've started.
One of the most asked questions and speculations we've gotten! Absolutely not. Preston wants to be in/towards the end of his apprenticeship. I want to have at least one degree working on my second. We have a lot of trips and plans we would like to do before having kids. We have a lot bigger things coming then running off to a mountain to get married ;).
Since there is no wedding, this one was a challenge. The way you can get the most involved and celebrate with us is by making our house a home. The registry has lots of ideas for you to choose from!
