Jadon and I officially met in the fall of 2019 while working together at Columbia. As we got to know each other, we realized something crazy—we had actually crossed paths earlier that year. Shortly after I (Sarah) graduated high school, I was working at a small store near my school when Jadon happened to be one of my customers. That day, we both witnessed someone getting arrested right in front of the store. We didn’t recognize each other at the time, but months later, when we became friends, we pieced the story together and realized we had shared that strange moment before we even knew each other. It’s amazing how life works in unexpected ways!

We stayed friends for about a year before one night, while we were out driving, Jadon opened his heart and confessed that he had feelings for me. The beginning of our relationship was a little awkward—we didn’t quite know how to transition from being the best of friends to being something more. We were shy about showing affection, even trying to keep our relationship a secret, though it didn’t take long for everyone to figure it out (many had even predicted it!). As time passed, we grew deeper in love, and I couldn’t imagine my life without him. In 2022, we were blessed to welcome our first baby girl, Scarlett Jo, and by 2023, our second precious girl, Naomi Alexandria, entered our lives. Though we had dreamed of getting married, saving for a wedding while raising two babies was a challenge we faced together. Through it all, Jadon gently encouraged me to focus on my relationship with the Lord, putting God first above all else. As my faith grew, I knew, without a doubt, that marrying Jadon was the next step in our journey. The Lord has shown me so much on this walk, and I can’t wait to celebrate our love for each other—and for God—with everyone at our wedding.
