Jaden- A year ago I moved across the country with my family from a lifelong childhood in Northern California to the summer storms, fireflies and sweet tea of East Tennessee. A faith stretching journey! Only a week after our arrival and still knowing “no one” I crossed paths with a certain blondie while playing ultimate frisbee. (surprise surprise) He tried to guard me, but I got past. He tried to block me, but I made the catch. I tried to out run him...but changed my mind. 😉 We attended the same young adult Bible study and realized we both loved Christ, His church and our families. That and ultimate frisbee makes for a lot in common! With our parents blessing we started to have adventures and spend time in one another's homes...a lot of tacos have been eaten and a lot of Quirkle has been played. 😂 Thanks to our parents for all the food and putting up with our craziness. It wasn’t long until I was growing in respect and admiration of Jeffrey, his character qualities and heart for the Lord. I truly fell for his playful personality, love for his family and all around kindness. On top of being hard working, respecting authority and church leadership. I could go on but you get the point! On bended knee with sparkly in hand...Jeffrey asked me to marry him whilst on top of a mountain-moments before a lightning storm-and the answer was an easy and absolute “YES.” I can’t wait to spend the rest of my adventures with my best friend and soon-to-be husband!
