How we met

Frist comes School, then comes Marriage

Jaden and Hayden’s story began their senior year in October 2019 at Olathe Northwest High School. While Jaden was busy with orchestra and soccer, Hayden was marching to the beat of his own drum, literally playing bass drum in marching band and trombone in concert band, while also somehow finding time for swim and dive. What started as a simple high school connection quickly turned into something much more, and before long, they officially began dating. They also shared something in common from the start: they are both the youngest in their families. Jaden is the youngest of three to Brian and Sonya Crane, and Hayden is the youngest of five to Mark and Diana Miller. After high school, life tried to test them by sending them in different directions. Although it meant taking on long distance, it never shook their commitment to each other. Jaden headed to Kansas State before following in her grandma’s footsteps and pursuing nursing at Washburn University. Meanwhile, Hayden was taking on the Police Academy, building a meaningful career in service. No matter the miles between them, they proved pretty quickly that distance did not stand a chance against them. Through every stage of life, they continued to grow together and added a few furry companions along the way, including Bella, who will always hold a special place in their hearts, along with Willie and Cheese. These days, they are fully immersed in adulthood. Jaden is working in the cardiac ICU while also heading back to school to pursue a higher nursing degree, and Hayden is serving as a police officer for Kansas City, Missouri. Safe to say, they both chose careers that keep life anything but boring. On January 29, 2025, Hayden decided it was time to lock things down and asked Jaden to marry him. Nearly seven years after it all began, they will say “I do” and start their next chapter together, full of love, laughter, and a shared commitment to serving others and each other.
