Like many great love stories, ours started in the Trauma ICU—because nothing says romance like gunshots, car wrecks, and caffeine dependency. We met in August 2024, thanks to mutual friends at work who thought we should be in the same orbit. On a long hike in the Arkansas woods on our second date, we realized we shared the same most important desire—to live our lives in a way that honors God. Somewhere between marathon training runs through monsoons and hills with Jaden on the bike and Ben on foot, subpar pickleball play, and decompressing after long shifts, we felt that God brought us together for a reason. From there, life became a series of road trips and meaningful moments—nearly all of them spent outdoors in God's creation. We spent our days working side by side riding the highs and lows of the ICU, and our nights playing pickleball with friends and going out for ice cream. We spent our weekends hiking and driving to Tennessee and North Carolina to be with our family. In the spring and summer, we fed our thirst for adventure with a camper trip through the national parks of Utah and Colorado, and hiking and fly fishing in Alaska with our closest friends. Amidst our adventures, we do our best to keep the Lord at the center of our relationship. We cherish the moments that feel the most sacred—quiet mornings in the Word, shared meals, laughter with friends, and time with family and our pets. Those moments are everything to us. Animals have always been a non-negotiable part of the package, too—especially Jaden's love of horses, our Mississippi mutt, Swayze, our ever-important cat, Pete, and our newest addition, Merlot the Australian Shepherd. In December 2025, under the twinkling Christmas lights of the Biltmore House, Ben asked Jaden to marry him. We celebrated that magical weekend surrounded by family, and our hearts were completely full. On May 7th, we will stand before God and our closest friends and family to celebrate our union as two become one.
