If you don’t think you’ll be able to make it we do request that you let us know ASAP so we can make proper adjustments and arrangements.
Majestic Elegance is an all inclusive resort. With the standard room rate, all restaurants, buffets, alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages and on site entertainment are included. There may be additional charges for speciality items at restaurants or additional services such as the spa or excursions. You may choose to bring tipping money around the resort but should otherwise be all set!
Some restaurants at the resort do have a dress code. Gentlemen should bring some pants options and footwear other than flip flops if planning to dine at some on site restaurants. Ladies should plan on evening chic attire for these situations. Casual options are also available for all meals.
The ceremony is centrally located in the resort near the main lobby. The ceremony will begin at 5pm please plan to arrive a few minutes early if you plan on attending.
The travel agent provides services for guests and package deals at no additional cost. You may prefer to book separately. This is not an issue please just communicate your plans/dates of travel to the hosts to ensure you are accommodated for during group celebrations.
Most guests should plan to fly into Cancun International Airport. Travel arrangements to the resort can be set up with out travel agent Stacey or can be booked independently. There are several options offered for transit.
Though we would love to have you stay with us and celebrate together at the same resort, we understand that some individuals may want to do accommodations elsewhere. If this is the case, there may be day pass fees required so please communicate with the hosts.

The average temperature in Costa Mujeres in December is 83 degrees during the day and 68 at night. This is not considered to be rainy or hurricane season but rain does occur on occasion. In the event of inclement weather, wedding celebrations will be moved indoors. The Caribbean Sea is warm all year round with water temperatures in December from 77-79 degrees Fahrenheit.
The resort is located 20-40 minutes north of the airport, depending on traffic and what airline is used.
Yes, a passport is required to fly into Mexico.
If you are only using the travel agent for the resort and booking the flight separately (using frequent flyer miles, etc) then you may contact her anytime! If you are looking to do a package deal (best deal which includes resort, flight, transportation at discounted rates) you can reach out to Stacey as early as January, 16th when flights become available.
You may choose to do so but USD will be accepted at the resort.
Depending on your phone plan, unless you have international coverage in Mexico, you will likely not have service. I would recommend downloading “WhatsApp” prior to departure as we will be creating a group chat for ease of communication. The resort has free Wi-Fi and this form of communication will continue to work.
This is a personal preference. For myself, an all inclusive resort can be fully enjoyed in three to four nights but some enjoy much longer. The travel agent will assist with whatever accommodations you prefer. The wedding celebration will be on Saturday. The wedding couple plans to arrive Thursday and stay until Monday.
