What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?What is the easiest way to get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

Getting to and from Grand Geneva Resort & Spa is most efficient by car, as it is located at the intersection of Highways 50 East and 12 in Lake Geneva. While rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are available for trips to the resort from major airports, they are less reliable for return trips due to a smaller pool of local drivers. The General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) in Milwaukee is this closest airport to the venue location which is about 46.7 miles away or a 50 minute drive depending on traffic. The is also Chicago O'Hare International Airport which is slightly further away but has more flight options. It is 70 miles away from the venue or about an hour and 12 minute drive. From Milwaukee (45–60 mins): Take I-43 south to the Highway 12/Elkhorn exit. Follow Highway 12 to Highway 50 East; the resort entrance will be on your left. From Chicago (90 mins): Take I-94 north to Highway 50 (Kenosha/Lake Geneva West). Drive west for approximately 24 miles; the resort will be on your right. From Madison (80 mins): Take I-90 south to Janesville, then Highway 11 east to Delavan. Merge onto Highway 50 East through downtown Lake Geneva to reach the resort.

We kindly ask guests to dress up in elegant evening wear. Men, think tuxedos or suits with a tie, and ladies, feel free to wear a gown, cocktail dress, or something equally classy. And no white dresses. We’re excited to see everyone looking sharp as we celebrate together!

The ceremony will be held outdoors and the reception will take place indoors with outdoor areas.

Answer

Yes! There will be a cocktail hour with hors d’oeuvres being served before the ceremony begins. After the ceremony there will be a sit down dinner and even some late night snacks available. And of course, an open bar. We will send out meal options with our formal wedding invitations. You will also be able to include and dietary restrictions at that time as well.

Of course we want everyone to be able to capture their own memories as well. However, during the ceremony we ask you reframe from taking photos/videos and let our professional photographers capture those moments for us.

We want everyone to celebrate comfortably! The venue is handicap accessible, but if you have specific mobility needs or questions, please reach out to us so we can ensure you’re well-taken care of.
