While growing up in Rosemount, Jade attended Maddy’s second birthday party — the day they first met. Let’s just say the rest was history! From running lemonade stands and choreographing dances to singing in talent shows and sledding until dark, Maddy and Jade spent nearly every day together. They even made a vow as kids to be in each other’s weddings! Though Jade eventually moved away (and Maddy became notoriously hard to reach by text), their friendship and love for each other have remained one of the best parts of their lives. We are so excited to have such a genuine friend as part of our wedding — and Jade is just as thrilled to keep her childhood promise to Maddy!
Mason Ciari
Best Man
Roman first met Mason on the football field while they were both attending Cornell College. Mason is truly an immense presence in any room—standing tall at 6’4” and packing a heart just as big. But it’s not just his height that makes him unforgettable; it’s his energy, his loud voice, and his ability to make everyone feel like they’ve got his full support. The dynamic duo of Roman and Mason could be spotted all over Mount Vernon from navigating tough engineering courses (with varying success) to volunteering at the local fire department together. Jade also met Mason during her freshman year and quickly realized just how lucky Roman and her were to call Mason a friend. Over the years, Mason has shown his commitment to friendship in countless ways—even by coordinating surprise Valentine’s gifts for Roman! We truly couldn’t imagine celebrating our union without Mason’s energetic, funny, and caring presence lighting up our day!
Sarah Johnson
Honor Attendant
Sarah is listed in Jade’s contacts as “Sarah (Sir Levi’s Mom).” Sir Levi was Sarah’s first horse, whom she boarded at Jade’s house, and that’s where their friendship began. Though Sarah initially became friends with Jade’s mom, they quickly bonded over their shared love of animals and fantasy books. Sarah is the kind of person who is always reassuring, kind, and so much fun to be around — especially during our lively Modelo Mondays! Jade knew right away that Sarah was someone she could rely on for behind-the-scenes planning and unwavering support. We are beyond thrilled to have Sarah’s enthusiasm and confidence backing us throughout the entire wedding process!
Evan Stout

Roman first met Evan while hanging out at their middle school after long school days. When it came time to choose an officiant, there was no debate—it had to be Evan. Not only is he well-spoken (especially when jokingly plotting world domination), but he's also a pro at hyping up a crowd and making everyone feel like they're the most important person in the room. Roman has many fond memories from creating homecoming signs together to the countless hangouts where each other's company (and sometimes a little alcohol) were all they needed. We both adore Evan’s charismatic personality and couldn’t have picked a more genuine and trustworthy friend to help make our union official!
Jocelyn "Jossy" Decorah
Bridesmaid
Jossy is Jade’s loving big sister, and these two have always shared a special bond, built on laughter, love, and their own brand of quirky inside jokes. Take, for example, how Jossy started calling Jade Steve — a nickname whose origins remain a mystery only they fully understand. Or their unforgettable shopping sprees, where without fail, they’ll shout “CHARGE IT!” in unison. These two definitely know how to make even the simplest moments fun and full of laughter! Some of Jade’s favorite childhood memories include endless screenings of Nemo in Jossy’s bedroom, as well as visiting Jossy’s apartment for sleepovers filled with Wii games (featuring Jade’s questionable sportsmanship), molten lava cakes, and late-night Nickelodeon! Jossy has always held a special spot in Jade’s heart — caring for and supporting her, and we couldn’t imagine our wedding without Jade’s favorite (though only) sister by her side!
Shaelee "Shae" DeWitt

Shae is Jade’s cousin, and she’s also the coolest person Jade knows! These two met in elementary school, and Jade has made sure to visit every summer since. Their Wisconsin summers are filled with memories of horse camps, ice cream trips, late-night movies, and other small-town adventures. In fact, Shae has been there since the beginning of Jade and Roman’s romance, supporting them every step of the way (including when Jade cried over The Kissing Booth 2 before heading off for a long-distance relationship in college)! We’re so excited to have Shae’s smiles and laughs with us as we start this journey together.
Elin Kairies

Elin has had the pleasure of attending BOTH high school and college with either Jade and/or Roman! In high school, Jade and Elin could often be spotted driving their trucks on adventures, attending football games, or showing up for 7 a.m. lifting sessions before school. In college, Elin was forced to interact with Roman when Jade visited them both for football games! Over time, Roman and Elin bickered like siblings, but they were always united by their love for Jade. Elin is loving, energetic, and always brings the party wherever she goes. We’re so lucky to celebrate with someone who’s been with us through it all!
Ellie Launstein

Ellie is one of Jade’s closest friends, and they’ve been tightly-bonded since they were childhood neighbors! Jade has countless fond memories of growing up with Ellie and her two younger sisters — from playing make-believe and having sleepovers to competing in MasterChef challenges! Though Ellie and Jade navigate a long-distance friendship, Jade couldn’t imagine her life without her sweet Ellie. These days, their time together is filled with last-minute lunch dates and cherished annual cabin memories. We are so grateful to have Ellie’s love and support as part of our wedding day!
Elias Rantala

Elias and Roman first crossed paths at their chaotic high school lunch table. Known for his quick wit and smart-ass remarks, Elias never fails to spark a laugh, often leaving Roman and Jade trying to catch their breath from all the jokes. Elias and Roman are notorious gym bros—constantly trying to outlift each other—and they also share a love for gaming, whether they're in the same town or states apart. Some of Jade and Roman’s favorite memories with Elias happened at a friend’s cabin, where they spent time fishing, riding ATVs, and smoking cigars late into the night. We’re so grateful to have Elias’s dependable nature and contagious laugh to further brighten our special day!
Ian Sogge

Roman and Ian first met on the pitch during middle school rugby, despite the shorts being questionably short! Not only are both men physically strong, but their friendship is also unshakeable, no matter the time or distance spent apart. Roman fondly remembers winning the rugby 7s tournament together and continuing their antics, many of which stem from Ian being exactly one day older than Roman. Jade also knows Ian from high school, where she woke him up after pre-calc lessons, and they shared plenty of “crazy looks” across the band room whenever the other nerds acted up. We are beyond excited to have such a reliable, selfless friend as part of our wedding, and if you see him around, make sure to ask him about ‘the game’!
Tyson West

Tyson is Roman’s eldest—and strongest—brother. Not only did both of them play collegiate football, but they can still be found in the gym chasing new PRs. When he’s not lifting heavy things, Tyson is the steady voice of reason in the family, always ready with some classic “big adult” wisdom for his younger brothers. Some of Roman’s favorite memories with Tyson include visiting him at St. Thomas and celebrating at Tyson and Maddy’s (bridesmaid) wedding, where the dancing didn’t stop all night long.Tyson and Jade also share their own goofy bond—hyping their girl GloRilla and facing off in Throw Throw Burrito, a game that usually ends with flying foam and Jade (begrudgingly) accepting defeat. We’re so happy to have Tyson be a part of our big day, and we’re endlessly grateful for his wisdom, encouragement, and all the support he’s given us as we build our dream life together!
Maddy West

Maddy is our first sister-in-law! In a family full of boys, she’s been an amazing person to bond with, especially during family gatherings! Jade first met Maddy on the 4th of July at Roman’s house, and the two instantly hit it off. Over the years, Jade and Roman have loved spending time with Maddy (and Tyson), from going to Six the Musical and visiting Arizona, to enjoying happy hours at Teresa’s! Maddy has always been a supportive, bubbly presence, and Jade knew she was exactly the person she wanted by her side on their big day. We’re overjoyed to have Maddy join our celebration, and we know she’ll bring all the energy and fun to make the day even more special!
Trent West

Trent is Roman’s second-oldest brother—and truly one of a kind. Standing at a towering 6’7”, he never comes up short when it comes to showing up for the people he loves. His calm, talkative nature makes him the kind of person everyone naturally gravitates toward… except Jade, who was too intimidated to speak to him for nearly two years (since Roman quite literally and figuratively looks up to Trent). Roman has fond memories of cheering Trent on throughout his high school basketball career—and is equally grateful for the way Trent always showed up to support his football games in return. Trent has always been both a role model to us and our number-one fan, and we truly couldn’t imagine this day without Trent’s charismatic presence and big-hearted energy backing us every step of the way!
Quenten "Q" West

Quenten is Roman’s youngest brother—and the one who always keeps the household on its toes. He’s your typical youngest sibling: full of energy, goofiness, and always ready to turn any moment into a memorable one (whether it’s warranted or not). Roman is especially grateful for the childhood memories they share—visiting Ginga and Papa in Chicago, watching their favorite shows with their mom, or daringly sledding down the notorious “Death Hill” together. Jade and Quenten also share a special bond as fellow youngest siblings, built on Twilight and Avengers: Endgame movie nights and countless late-night Dairy Queen runs over the years. We’re so grateful to have grown up with someone as fun-loving (and occasionally unhinged) as Quenten, and we can’t wait to celebrate this day with his signature enthusiasm and all-out party spirit!
