Eric and Jade had very few mutual friends in high school and several degrees of separation. Jade was the extroverted type who was also the yearbook editor, and Eric was the new kid with niche interests. Their paths crossed when a mutual friend added Eric to a group chat, and Jade couldn't help but to poke fun at the "clown" who made an appearance. Almost as if the stars aligned for them to be together, they started hanging out after school and eating way too much Pizza Hut the summer before college. They'd make each other playlists, play video games together (Jade is NOT a gamer, please understand that lol she would simply watch) and cook complicated meals with too many ingredients.
