We’re finally getting married!

The year was 2005. I was 15, Corey was 16, and we met at Wendy’s. No, not a mutual friend named Wendy. The fast-food chain restaurant Wendy’s. Anyone from Dublin knows the cool thing to do in high school was to ride around town and meet up in whatever parking lot was “the spot” that night. While it was typically the movie theater parking lot- the night we met was Wendy’s. I was dating another guy at the time, and we pulled in to meet up with some of his friends. Corey was already there in the group. I guess when I stepped out of my then-boyfriend’s truck, Corey fell madly in love with me and the rest was history for him. I definitely remember seeing him, thinking he was cute and that I liked his smile, but it didn’t stop me from hopping back in the truck and leaving with my date. After that night, Corey was determined to get a date with me. He started hanging out with one of my closest girlfriends in order to get the scoop on me. After weeks of snooping, he got my number! By this time, my previous boyfriend and I had called it quits. One night, Corey was driving over to a friend's house and decided to call me. All he remembers from the call is that I wouldn’t quit giggling at every single thing he said. Not much has changed! Our journey together has now been over 15 years! I guess it was love at first sight, after all :)
