We love your children, but please consider our wedding a date night out! The hope is that you'll be able to spend more time socializing and breaking it down on the dance floor than chasing after little ones. Therefore, only the names listed on your invitation are invited. Thank you for understanding!
The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm, our ushers will help you find a seat when you arrive. Please be seated with enough time to greet those around you no later than 4:15.
Consider this an opportunity to dress up a bit, but don't over do it. A full tux or gown may be a bit much, but jeans or a crop top would be better saved for the beach. The ceremony will take place outside on a grass covered lawn. Be cautioned that high heels with narrow heels will sink into the ground! Lastly, if you're susceptible to the sun, please plan accordingly with sunscreen, a sun hat, a parasol etc.
We will offer a few dinner choices, but should one of these not comply to your allergy specifications, please make a note on your dinner RSVP.
If your invitation indicates yourself as well as a "guest" you are welcome to bring a date, if not, we have asked that we celebrate with just you!
Yes! Check out the "travel" page.
Yes! Check out our "registry" page. Your gifts are SO appreciated. The only store we've registered at that does not show up on our main page is Anthropology. The link to that registry is here: https://www.anthropologie.com/registry/listing?registryId=NDA0MTQ5NGFH All other registries (Amazon, Target etc.) have been streamlined to show up on our main registry page. Thank you so much in advance!
Yes! There is ample parking on sight directly to the left of the building. The ceremony and reception are at the same location, so once you arrive you will not have to drive anywhere until the conclusion of the nights events.
After our outdoor ceremony, there will be beverages and hors-d'oeuvres served to live music and a variety of activities. This cocktail hour will take place from 5:00pm-6:30pm. Feel free to peruse the wrap around porch, yard, fireplace, and fountain while chatting with other guests. Once the wedding party returns, the reception will begin.
At this point in our planning, we have faith that we will be able to throw our wedding to its full grandeur. Should the pandemic still be going full force with all of her regulations and policies, we will update everyone with any alterations to our plan that must be made. We believe that the good Lord still holds this world in his hands, and we trust in his plan for us. Prayers not just for a COVID-19 free wedding, but for mine and Ben's life together in general would be so appreciated. We are truly blessed by the love and support we receive from each of you.
According to Bay Pointe Inn, Michigan law does not allow smoking in areas where food and beverage are being served. That includes their lawn areas, firepits, and lodging accommodations.
