Jade and Ben met, fittingly, because of brunch. Jade's friend Karli created a brunch club in college which was essentially a great excuse for friends and strangers alike to enjoy french toast and mimosas together on a weekly basis. Jade and Ben bonded over their love for good food and desire to travel. Soon the two moved to Tennessee and spent two years long distance while finishing Grad and Law School. They loved spending the weekends together hiking but in 2016 they traded mountains for sky scrappers and moved to New York City. Now most weekends are spent cuddling with their cat Daisy, cooking meals with ingredients from the farmers market (i.e. Ben cooks while Jade drinks wine), or lounging in their garden with friends. They love their home and life in Brooklyn and can't wait to share it with you!
On one of the coldest mornings in January, Ben proposed to Jade (who was still in her pajamas with no jacket on!) in their garden. It was beautiful, sweet, and personal. They went to brunch (of course) and Ben convinced Jade he had nothing else planned for the day. Then while they were walking around their neighborhood Ben opened a random car door and told Jade to jump in. Ben had borrowed his friend’s car and had a whole weekend planned upstate including a cozy Airbnb. He made reservations at Blue Hill at Stone Barns for dinner which Jade had wanted to go to for years! The day was completely magical and the perfect way to celebrate their engagement.
