We met in middle school, we knew each others faces but didn't really know each other. Austin was always flirting with me. Austin went off to high school & I came to High School a year later, we were in the same science class, we ending up really hitting it off, spending every lunch period together, going to each others houses after school, sharing a locker, you know your cliché high school couple. What went from just being boyfriend & girlfriend of one week, one month, one year, quickly turned into 8 years. Now here we are with a very wild beautiful 2 year old boy, a few furry babies, planning a wedding. I never thought Austin was going to propose, a wedding was the last thing on my mind, we had just moved to Fargo in January 2019, just established jobs, got Sawyer in daycare, meanwhile getting ready to open my own. Sunday May 12th, we had no plans, it was Mothers Day, I wanted to relax & buy furniture (which I am famously known for doing every 6 months). Austins sister Taylor invited us over for dinner, told me I had to go and look decent because we were "going to take family pictures for her wall", which seemed off to me because I knew how awful we both were at taking pictures and all of her walls were filled, but she also knew me well enough to know that if she took a picture of me looking like a potato and posted it on social media I would be offended (Thank you Taylor). Finally after ordering new furniture, going home, straightening my second day hair, finding something other then a sweatshirt and leggings, we FINALLY get to Taylors, which was just literally right across the street from our apartment building. Go inside, the table is set up with wine glasses ( We never drink wine), there are candles, we never sit at the table, everything’s out of the ordinary. We sit down to eat. Mid bite, Austin pulls out my chair, gets down on one knee and pops the question, with a million emotions, tears rolling down my face & trying not to choke on my food, I said "Yes".
