I always like to joke around and say the main reason Matt and I started talking was because of Bentley (his golden retriever) - and that’s mostly true. I’m aimlessly swiping through Tinder one night, and I catch sight of the most adorable and fluffy golden retriever puppy I have ever seen. Of course, Matt caught my eye too, but it was Bentley that really brought us together. My first message to Matt read: “I like your dog” and the rest is history. I later got the chance to know and love not only Bentley, but Matt’s corgi-mix Cooper as well. If I hadn’t already fallen for Matt, I would’ve then. Can you tell I’m a sucker for dogs? A few months of dating and we decided to adopt a dog together- Josie the pittie mix. Now our little “fam jam”, as we like to call it, was complete! All dogs aside, I am forever thankful that I met Matt. As many of you know, we’ve moved around a lot since we started dating and I’ve come to realize it doesn’t matter what city or state we are in, as long as I am with Matt and the dogs, I am home. He is my best friend, my better half, and my soon to be husband. I can’t imagine a life without him and I can’t wait to start this new chapter of our lives together. He has always made sure that I feel appreciated and loved, and he never fails to make me smile. So, yeah, you could say that Bentley brought us together, but it was love that kept us there.
