Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We would like to have all our guests in black formal attire, black tie attire is optional. Think a little fancier than usual but no need to go ball gown/tuxedo. We just want this to be a beautiful, elegant evening! Please note that the reception venue is outdoors so bring anything extra you might need! There will be heaters and of course do not underestimate the power of body heat.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask for no photos during the ceremony as it is in a church and we want to remain as reverent as possible! Please by all means bring personal cameras to the reception and take as many in the moment shots as possible! Just make sure to send them to us ;)

Question

What can I expect during a Catholic wedding ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start with the wedding party and priest entering, followed by a short greeting and hymn. After that we will all take our seats for the Bible readings and Homily (priest's sermon). Next will be the Rite of marriage where we will exchange vows and rings. The last part of the ceremony will be receiving Holy Communion (which is only received by Catholics in the state of grace, but you're more than welcome to go up and receive a blessing only) , a nuptial blessing then our exit.

Question

Are you accepting gifts?

Answer

Although we really appreciate the sentiment, we would prefer money to help fund our honeymoon and future apartment cost! There are links to pay under the registry tab, we will also have a money/card box at the reception to put in person & if neither works for you we have Venmo and Zelle! Jada's Venmo: Jada-Selexman Zelle: 661-609-1821 Dominic's Venmo: Dominic-Scaglione Zelle:661-478-2359
