FAQs

Question

When and where is the wedding?

Answer

We’re tying the knot in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in July 2026! All of the celebrations will take place at the Royalton, which is an all-inclusive resort. Exact ceremony and reception details will be listed on the schedule page.

Question

When do I need to RSVP?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP by March 1, 2026.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be beach formal. Think light, breathable fabrics and dressy resort wear. Options include linen shirts, dress pants, lightweight suits, flowy dresses, jumpsuits, or chic separates. Please avoid stilettos (sand and grass are not heel-friendly!) and black-tie attire.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your little ones! Unless otherwise noted, all wedding events are adults-only so everyone can fully relax and celebrate. That said, if you’re traveling with children, they’re welcome to enjoy the resort and non-wedding events.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

If your invitation includes a plus one, then absolutely! If you’re unsure, check your invitation or contact us.

Question

What events should I plan to attend besides the ceremony/reception?

Answer

We’re planning a few extra moments to celebrate: Welcome Party – a casual meet-up when everyone arrives Group Excursion – details coming soon, but think sun, sea, and fun Farewell Brunch – a sweet sendoff the morning after Keep checking this site for updates as we finalize plans!

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors (weather permitting). July is warm and tropical, so expect sunshine with a side of ocean breeze.

Question

How do I book my room and travel?

Answer

All of our bookings are managed by Allure Experiences. Please visit our dedicated travel page here: www.jasmineandjada.com. They’ll handle resort rooms and airport transfers. It’s one-stop shopping and keeps everything streamlined for the group. For any questions regarding travel, please contact Erika with Allure Experiences.

Question

Which airport should I fly into?

Answer

Please fly into Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ). It’s the closest airport to our resort.

Question

Is airport transportation included?

Answer

Please check the booking site - shared and private transportation will be available for a fee

Question

Do I need a passport or visa to travel to Punta Cana?

Answer

A valid passport is required for all U.S. citizens. No visa is necessary for stays shorter than 30 days. If you’re traveling from outside the U.S., please check your country’s requirements. Additionally, all travelers must complete the Dominican Republic Electronic Ticket (E-Ticket) before departure and again before returning home. Complete the form here: https://eticket.migracion.gob.do/ Once completed, you’ll receive a QR code — please save it on your phone or print it for travel.

Question

Do I need travel insurance?

Answer

We strongly recommend travel insurance for peace of mind. Allure Experiences can provide options during the booking process.

Question

What should I pack for Punta Cana in July?

Answer

Think tropical vacation meets wedding chic: Swimsuits, cover-ups, and sandals Light clothes for daytime (shorts, sundresses, tees) Sunscreen, bug spray, and a reusable water bottle Dressy outfits for wedding events A light sweater for the evenings (optional, but it can get breezy)

Question

Is the water safe to drink?

Answer

Stick to bottled or filtered water, which is widely available at the resort. Ice and drinks served at the resort are safe.

Question

What currency is used in Punta Cana?

Answer

The Dominican Peso is the official currency, but U.S. dollars are widely accepted at resorts and tourist areas.

Question

Do I need cash, or can I use a credit card?

Answer

Both! Bring some small bills for tips, taxis, and souvenirs, but most places (and the resort) accept credit cards.

Question

Is gratuity included at the resort?

Answer

Yes. Gratuity is typically included at all-inclusive resorts, but a few extra dollars for excellent service (bartenders, housekeepers, drivers) is always appreciated.

Question

Can I send gifts to your home instead of bringing them?

Answer

Yes, please! We kindly ask that you ship any physical gifts directly to our home address (listed on the registry) rather than bringing them to the Dominican Republic.

Question

What activities are included at the resort?

Answer

Our resort is all-inclusive: unlimited food and drinks, multiple pools, the beach, nightly entertainment, and more. You’ll never be bored (unless you want to be).

Question

Are there group excursions planned?

Answer

Yes! We’ll share details closer to the date. Expect at least one group outing — something adventurous and tropical that everyone can enjoy.

Question

Do I need to book excursions in advance?

Answer

Yes, we recommend it. Some excursions sell out quickly. You can book directly through the resort or ask Allure Experiences for assistance.

Question

What if I can’t attend?

Answer

We’ll miss you dearly! Please RSVP accordingly so we can plan. We’ll be sure to share plenty of photos and video highlights so you can celebrate with us from afar.

Question

Who do I contact with questions about travel?

Answer

For all travel and booking questions, please reach out to Allure Experiences directly at inquires@travelwithallure.com.

Question

How will you share updates?

Answer

We’ll keep this website updated with the latest details.

Question

Who do I contact with questions about wedding events?

Answer

We’ll keep this website updated with everything you need to know about the wedding. Please check here first for details, as we’ll do our best to answer common questions in advance. We kindly ask that you avoid contacting the brides directly so we can stay focused on celebrating with you all

Question

What days should I plan to be at the resort?

Answer

We will be at the resort starting July 28th and will stay through August 7th. We understand that this may not work for everyone's schedules. Please select the length of stay that works best for you. We want to emphasize that the week following the wedding is NOT our honeymoon and we hope that you'll stay and enjoy the vacation week with us!
