She was a midwestern Wisconsin girl through and through. She was raised on Green Bay football, cheese, meat raffles, Summerfest, and beer and brandy. She moved off to New York where she made a successful career for herself, traveled the world, and made lifelong memories with newfound lifelong friends. Yet... in a city that seemed it had everything, one thing still eluded her. With 4 million men in New York, she still hadn't found the right person, a man who deserved her. In 2015, she packed her bags and moved out west in search of something new. He was a skater boy - wait - no he wasn't. Sorry, that's a different story. He was a bayou Louisiana boy through and through. He was raised on New Orleans and LSU football, jambalaya, crawfish, Jazz Fest, and beer and bourbon. He moved to New Orleans where he was treated to live music every other night, ate the finest French, Cajun, and Creole food, laissez les bon temps rouler, and made lifelong memories with old and new friends. Yet... in a city named "The Big Easy", he still found one thing hard. All the fine music, food, fun, and friends couldn't fill the void he found, a woman of wit and intelligence to share his life with. In 2015, he packed his bags and moved out west in search of something new. One from the top of the country, one from the bottom, somehow they would meet somewhere far away, somewhere in the middle. They fell in love with the mountains right away, but falling in love with each other took a bit longer. You can't miss the mighty mountains in Denver; all you have to do is look to the horizon. But finding the person who will make you happy for the rest of your life is a much more delicate task. It happened quite unexpectedly, quite suddenly, and quite by accident, as these things often do. They joined a coed softball team, half her friends, half his. After thousands of traveled miles and decades of fully lived lives, all it took was a couple softball games and episodes of Game of Thrones. True love...
