Henry and Jacy met at Lubbock High School and grew close when they were cast as love interests in the school's production of "Epic Proportions". A last minute Homecoming invite and movie date to see Mission Impossible led to Henry asking Jacy to be his girlfriend. The two both had their first kisses on stage and almost ten years later they are saying "I Do!".

Henry proposed to Jacy at the Steel House in Ransom Canyon in an elaborate surprise! Henry secretly went to the jewelry store during his lunch hours to design the perfect engagement ring for Jacy, then reserved the Steel House for a weekend Jacy was planning on spending in Lubbock with her family. Unbeknownst to Jacy, Henry drove to Lubbock the same weekend. Jacy's mom let Jacy know she had to go to a "house party" of a family friend of their's, so Jacy got ready, expecting a relatively uneventful night. When she arrived at the Steel House and saw Henry standing out front, though, she immediately knew it would be quite eventful after all.
