What should I wear?

We kindly ask that you dress in Cocktail Attire. The ceremony and reception will be outdoors, so please dress comfortably while keeping the occasion in mind. You might want to bring light layers for the daytime, and a shawl or jacket for the evening. For more info, visit www.theknot.com/content/cocktail-wedding-attire PLEASE NOTE: The Redland Koi Gardens has gravel flooring throughout the grounds, so pointy stiletto high heels are NOT recommended. But if you really want to wear stiletto heels, you can put heel protectors at the bottom for more stability and protection.

How will the weather be?

Answer

In January, we are expecting mild and pleasant weather in Homestead, Florida (67 - 73 F) with low chance of rain. If it does rain, we will have covered areas to celebrate under. Some areas of the grounds are uncovered though, so we suggest coming prepared in case of rain!

How far is the venue from Miami Airport?

Answer

The Redlands Koi Gardens in Homestead, Florida, is approximately 25-30 miles from Miami International Airport (MIA). The drive typically takes about 40-50 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.

What happens if it rains?

Answer

In the unlikely event of rain, we will move the ceremony and reception under sheltered areas. The main entrance and walkways would be uncovered, so bring an umbrella if rain is forecasted!

Answer

No, there will not be a shuttle. We recommend guests use Uber or taxi to get to and from the wedding venue.

What are wedding venue parking options?

Answer

There will be valet parking and self-parking options. Parking lot is on uneven gravel flooring. Street lighting is minimal at night in the countryside, so Uber/Taxi is recommended.
