How We Met

We're not playing games...we met at Hasbro!

Early on in her first job out of college, Jacquelyn was working on an Excel spreadsheet...what else?! She couldn't get very far, very fast in Excel with a broken tab key and as tech-savvy as she was, she decided to call the IT help desk. Then, Sean walked in... A few more "technical issues" later, Jacquelyn and Sean decided to meet up for drinks with friends after work. The night was getting later and still no sign of the boys...and then, only one boy ended up walking in the bar... We've embraced each other's weirdness ever since.

He Asked. She Said Yes!

A Weekend in Hudson, NY

Christmas 2016 brought a long weekend in Hudson, NY - a small, foodie town that somehow we had both never been to. There was an itinerary jam-packed with activities, bars, foodie spots to check out and a reservation at a James Beard award winning restaurant, Fish & Game. Our Airbnb was a unique 2 story garage-turned apartment right off of the main street. We dropped our bags and started to explore, enjoying cocktails, some oysters and browsing a great little vinyl shop (Frank Sinatra of course was purchased). December 29th brought a ton of snow for us to trek around in, so, we decided to go for a short hike to a waterfall (we know, super romantic). We were the only ones on the trail so we took the opportunity to take photos along the way (needless to say, Sean later told Jacquelyn that the ring was in his coat pocket the entire hike!). Now that we "exercised", we were ready for our James Beard award dinner. While Jacquelyn finished getting ready, Sean went to the upstairs room in our Airbnb, put that Frank Sinatra vinyl on and opened one of our favorite bottles of red (insert plug for Folle Primitivo di Manduria here) to enjoy before dinner. As Sean knows Jacquelyn so well, he knew she would want a photo of the two of them, so, he set up his camera across the room on a timer for a photo (or at least Jacquelyn thought)... Sean ran over, posed, but then these next few lines happened... - Sean: "I'm recording" - Jacquelyn: "Why?!" - Sean: "You're reaction..." - Jacquelyn: "To what?!" Cue Sean getting down on one knee to pop the question...Jacquelyn said YES! :)
