We're getting Married!

I had just started my Emergency Nurse residency when a co-worker says to me "you know, I think I know your next boyfriend" and I laughed her off and thought nothing of it. A few weeks later an Officer comes in the ED with an injury at 4 in the morning with his Sergeant requests to talk to me. After a few minutes of grilling me on my past and future endeavors he gets on the radio and orders Brandon to come the to ED to meet me. After some small talk about the night shift and our favorite breakfast spots, I get back to work. Figuring I wouldn't hear from him again after they left without saying goodbye I was surprised to get a message from him later that shift asking if he's going to have to get hurt at work to see me again or if I'd like to go on a date with him...and the rest is history!

Our friends have been talking up their incredible experience at Gilbertsville Farmhouse after going the year before, so for my birthday Brandon surprised me with a weekend glamping trip in southern New York. Baby goats, gorgeous barns and dining spaces, bonfies and quaint furnished tents with fireplaces and record players set the perfect scene for the day to come. Saturday morning I was awaken with breakfast in bed and a morning walk with the animals. When lunch time came, we were picked up at our tent by one of the farm staff and not told where we were going. She pulls up on the hill overlooking the entire property and I turn to see a picnic set up near an arbor in the woods with candles lighting our path. He walked me down the path then got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife while our friends were hiding behind the trees capturing this incredible moment! We are so excited to celebrate our next chapter with you! See you at Oak Knolls!
