It all started with a simple phone call from my sister asking to "re-shoot" some photos of my nieces for their holiday card at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk. When that day finally rolled around, I was too caught up in Black Friday shopping to even consider what may be happening later that day. Little did I know, Kevin was at home, having pep talks with his cat, while also panicking over whether a sectional I had scheduled to be delivery that day would arrive early enough for there to still be light outside for the photo shoot. That afternoon at the beach was freezing, but I was so caught up in looking for the perfect photo spots for my nieces that I didn't even notice my 6 year old niece, being in on the surprise, winking at Kevin in excitement of what was about to happen. As we walked along the sidewalk towards the beach looking for the next spot to take photos, he and my sister encouraged my nieces to go run in the sand. As we got closer, I noticed flowers, candles, and a blanket laying on the beach and quickly realized what was happening. When my sister suggested Calf Pasture Beach for the photo shoot, I never even considered it was the place Kevin and I first met. He even has his sister waiting in the bushes to capture of our special moment. We spent the rest of our time at the beach celebrating with the family who coaxed me to get there and keep it a surprise, taking sunset pictures on the pier, and finished the night off with the perfect dinner and peanut butter whipped cream sundae at dinner.
