Zion and Jacqueline met in 2018 at the very beginning of college at Salt Lake Community College in an English class, where they discovered they worked pretty well together. They both transferred to the University of Utah, where Zion played lacrosse and Jacqueline focused on her studies. Jacqueline and Zion were each others biggest supporters, hyping each other up and celebrating every success no matter how big or small. They learned how to balance ambition and fun, working hard during the week and making the most of every moment together outside of it. When they weren’t studying, they were competing in just about every sport imaginable: tennis, golf, badminton, and more. They quickly learned that they were very competitive — especially with each other — and that a little friendly (sometimes not so friendly haha) rivalry only made them stronger. After graduation, they took their first big step together and moved into an apartment in downtown Salt Lake. They were so focused on finding the perfect place that they forgot one important detail: furniture. For the first six months, all they had was a mattress that laid on the floor. They ate every meal sitting on that bed, laughing the whole time, and learning that home was never about what they had, but who they shared it with. Years later, their once-empty apartment has turned into a cozy home, now filled with all the furniture they need. Most importantly, it’s filled with laughter, love, countless memories, and a herd of cats (Bobbi, Sunny, & Paddington). Zion and Jacqueline have grown side by side together, experiencing so many firsts, and becoming best friends along the way. They can’t wait to celebrate what they have built- and what comes next - with you.
