It's between bars, shops, and restaurants, you would be able to walk to most places you need to get to.

The Beachside Inn is on Cabrillo Blvd which is the street that runs parallel to the beach. This hotel is at the very end adjacent to a small park and faces the marina but likely doesn't have a beach view. There is a pool at this hotel, but it is in the small courtyard.

The rate should be $142/night The Lemon Tree is on Upper State Street, a bit of a distance from downtown State, but has a really lvoely courtyard with a bar, a pool, lawn games, etc.
