Our story began the way many modern love stories do… with a bold swipe right on Tinder. Sebastian and Jackie matched and instantly connected. After about a week of messaging back and forth (and some light, strategic convincing on Sebastian’s part), he finally asked Jackie out on their first date: a casual coffee at Starbucks. What was supposed to be a quick coffee turned into a full campus stroll and hours of conversation outside the library. Neither of them could stop talking… and neither wanted to be the first to leave. Although they met in Ames, they quickly realized they were both from the Chicago area — growing up just 50 minutes apart. Apparently, they had to leave Illinois to finally find each other.
