Are children allowed at the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We have decided to make our wedding day a special, adults-only (21+) celebration. This will provide an opportunity for everyone, including parents, to unwind and fully enjoy the festivities. We sincerely hope this prior notice will not discourage your attendance and that you will still be able to join us on this joyous occasion. Thank you for understanding and we can't wait to celebrate with you!

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

The bride and groom request an unplugged ceremony inside the cathedral, where each guest can be fully preset in celebrating this sacrament of marriage. Please turn off all devices prior to the start of the ceremony.

What is the attire for the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The attire is Black Tie Optional. Men are highly encouraged to wear a tuxedo or dark suit & tie. Women are highly encouraged to wear a long dress, dress suit, or formal cocktail dress.

What time does the ceremony begin?

Answer

The wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 in the afternoon. Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes early to find a seat in the cathedral and enjoy the live music before the ceremony. There is parking at the church and shuttle service is provided from The Portola Hotel, starting at 2:30 pm.

Is there transportation after the reception?

Answer

Transportation is not provided after the reception. The Portola Hotel is 0.3 miles from the venue, so we recommend walking if you are staying there or you can call an Uber to any hotel in the area. The after-party venue is also within walking distance from The Perry House.

What time does the wedding reception begin?

Answer

Our reception at the Perry House will begin at 5:00 pm and conclude at 10:00 pm.

Will dinner be served at the Welcome NIght?

Answer

Dinner will not be provided at the Welcome Party. Please plan to eat dinner before and prepare for a fun kickoff evening!

Is there a room block?

Answer

There is a limited room block at Hotel Portola. If you're having any issues with booking, please reach out to Jacqueline. All hotels in the area are beautiful!

Is there an after party?

Answer

Yes; For those looking to keep the party going after the reception, the bride and groom will be at their favorite local bar, Turn12. It is walking distance from The Perry House (about a 1/2 mile). Change your shoes at the hotel & come celebrate with us! Everyone is welcome.
