We both met years ago through a mutual connection. Neither of us had a thought about being together, we were both on separate journeys. Odeny was walking out his walk with God, praying and seeking God for what the future held. Patiently waiting on God to lead him to someone who shared the same passion and desire for God. Meanwhile, little did Jacqueline know God was preparing her to experience Him (God), to step into the plans and purpose He had for her life. As Jacqueline started to pursue God more and more, I (Odeny) saw something in her that drew me in, her genuine desire for God. We started off as friends, talking and texting on the phone, enjoying genuine conversation. In our friendship we found peace, trust, and vulnerability. In a short amount of time, we developed a love we never experienced on either side. From friendship—dating to engaged, we have felt God every step of the way. We are excited to embark in this journey called marriage. Giving God the glory, honor, and praise for what He has done in our lives.
