Question

Do you have any COVID-19 updates?

Answer

ANSWER We encourage all our guests to please be fully vaccinated before attending our wedding if they are able to do so. This is to better ensure that all our guests can safely attend our wedding. If you choose not to be vaccinated, please get a COVID-19 PCR test 72 hours beforehand and see the Travel Tips below. TRAVEL TIPS: -Make flight reservations you are able to alter or purchase trip insurance that includes COVID-19. Most major credit cards offer insurance to some degree. Check to see if your plans apply. -Book hotel rooms ASAP and cancel later if you need to. Most hotels allow you to cancel up to 24 hours before checking in as long as you didn’t pre-pay. Also, check their website occasionally for better deals and call to update your rate. -For Airbnb, Vrbo and other similar homestay options be sure to reach out to the owner of the property even if their cancellation policy doesn't work for you. They may consider changing their policy for you if you ask.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Parking on-site. Please carpool with friends and family if you are able. Lot 1 parking is up the hill by the stone house. Lot 2 parking is at the bottom of the hill. We ask those that are of good physical health to park in Lot 2 in order to leave accessible parking to guests who are not. Please arrive early to ensure parking doesn't delay your arrival to the ceremony. **Note: There is overflow parking 1 minute away down a steep main road. Please call 703-951-2183 if parking is full and you need a shuttle. Overflow parking can be found on Google Maps @ Snickers Gap - Appalachian Trailhead. https://goo.gl/maps/PbHhqHY9Jyuozayu9

Question

What kind of ceremony will you be having?

Answer

We will be having a Chinese-Western ceremony. For anyone unfamiliar with Chinese weddings take a look at this general guide: https://eastmeetsdress.com/blogs/blog/going-to-a-chinese-wedding-here-are-the-do-s-and-don-ts Event will be outside, dinner under a covered tent. Access to cozy lodge as well.

Question

What will be on the menu?

Answer

Asian-fusion street food and Western foods.

Question

Will there be a bar and non-alcoholic options?

Answer

Alcoholic beverages will be available. Self-serve. We will have assorted non-alcoholic beverages available too.

Question

Are kids welcomed?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off! Please let us know if you’d like to be put in contact with other parents wanting to coordinate a babysitter. Only kids in the Wedding Party will be in attendance.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Cocktail Attire: Cocktail Dresses, dressy jumpsuits, floral prints. Pant/blazer. Suits and tie in lighter hues. Consider purples, pinks, or warm tones; elements of black or white are okay. Black suit jackets are fine, don't worry. Solid red and gold is reserved for the brides and wedding party only, accents of these colors are OK. The grass can be soft and uneven, so maybe rethink stilettos. Event will be outside, dinner under a covered tent. Access to cozy lodge as well. Reception attire is the same as above. If you plan to STAY LATE feel free to bring something cozy to change into.

Question

Weather Gear

Answer

Bring rain gear (rain boots/umbrellas), incase of inclement weather. The ceremony is OPEN AIR. There will be a large tent outside, and some space inside the house for the Reception. Rain is likely in October, so please plan accordingly.
