Buccaneer Yacht Club is a private, member-run yacht club on Mobile Bay. We are, first and foremost, a sailing club that’s dedicated to promoting the sport of sailing, but we also enjoy the fellowship that comes along with a day spent on the water and with like-minded sailors. Founded in 1928 as a private member run club which emphasized sailing above all other amenities, Buccaneer remains devoted towards pursuing these same goals. Even today we are probably one of the few yacht clubs which operates all their facilities and functions without a single employee. We are in many ways a true club, where members collectively decide on the goals and policies of the club, then work together as a single unit to carry these out.
