Dress Code: Summer Dressy Casual We’re excited to celebrate with you! Our wedding reception will have a relaxed, summery atmosphere, and we invite guests to dress in summer dressy casual attire—comfortable, polished, and perfect for an outdoor celebration. For ladies, think flowy sundresses or dressy outfits of any length, lightweight fabrics, florals, and cheerful summer colors. Short, midi, and maxi dresses are all welcome. For gentlemen, khaki shorts, chinos, or lightweight pants paired with a button-down shirt or polo are perfect. Loafers, boat shoes, clean sneakers, or Hey Dude-style shoes are all great choices. We encourage breathable fabrics, comfortable footwear, and outfits that feel effortless yet put together. While we’re keeping things relaxed, please avoid overly formal attire (such as suits, tuxedos, or evening gowns) as well as very casual clothing (athletic wear, gym shorts, T-shirts, or flip-flops). Think: polished, comfortable, and ready for a fun summer celebration! ☀️🌿💍 ChatGPT wrote this and yes I’m worried that robots will take over the world. -Jack
Nope! On August 1st, we are getting married with a small group of immediate family members. Think of our August 8th wedding celebration as a party/reception!
The food for our event will be a BBQ buffet. There will be pulled pork, barbecue chicken, rolls, Mac n Cheese, salt potatoes, and broccoli salad. There will be gluten free rolls and a gluten free mac n cheese dish available. For dessert we will have cookies (gluten), and cupcakes (all gluten free) from the Mixing Bowl.
There is no after party planned. Maybe an unofficial gathering will continue on in Heritage Hill’s Brewhouse afterwards (open until 10pm), and/or Coleman’s in Tipp Hill.. or somewhere else - or nothing. We aren’t sure! We want people to do what they please. We will play it by ear!
