Highschool Sweethearts

10.03.2014

It all started in June 2014 when I saw Jacob in the hallway almost every day walking to class. I said to my friends every day that i saw him, that i thought he was cute and one day i would have the courage to ask him out. I didnt know his full name i only knew him as “Jay” from what i heard his friends call him. As the school year came to an end i still hadnt worked up the courage to talk to him but i said to my friend “one day, i will marry that kid.” Summer started i was scrolling on facebook & in my suggested friends popped up “Jay Levasseur.” I added him on Facebook, thinking he wont add me back. Well, he added me back that day, he messaged me saying “do i know you?” I replied “no but we go to the same school & i see you all the time in the hallway.” From then on we talked every single day, from morning to night. After 3 months it was clear we both liked eachother very much. Jacob asked me to hangout, or at least when school started back up to meet in the hallway to see eachother. Me being the typical insecure highschool girl i was scared to be judged so i always gave excuses not to meet him. October 3rd, 2014 i asked Jacob to be my boyfriend! And well…he said no. Still to this day he denies it, but he did. He said “im saying no not because i dont like you, i do its just i havent met you yet and we havent even hung out.” At that moment i was so mad I basically flipped out at him & made him feel guilty so he said “okay yes ill be your boyfriend but promise me that we can start hanging out.” I NEVER hung out with a boyfriend outside of school, but Jacob gave me a sense of security and trust, I knew right away he was the one and i couldnt throw it away from being insecure. The next day i met him in the hallway of GLTHS, i was so nervous that when i hugged him i patted him on the back like he was a “bro”! To make it even MORE awkward i followed it up with “so are you going to kiss me”… i cannot believe i said that but he kissed me & the rest is history!
