We both got invited to an Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. I got invited by a guy I was seeing & Gabino got invited by his friends. Neither one of us were actually wearing an ugly sweater. We basically made eyes at each other all night. Then when he was leaving, I just happened to be sitting all by myself. He passed by me and left the party. A few moments later he walked back & said, “I have liquid courage and wanted to tell you that I thought you were the most beautiful girl when you walked in.” I responded with a thank you. He asked for my number but instead I gave him my Instagram. The next day he found me on Facebook. For 6 months he would occasionally comment or like my photos. What made me finally agree to have drinks with him? I posted a selfie and he wrote, “Jax!😍” I asked how he knew that was my family nickname? His cheesy response… “I pay attention to things that are important to me.” At that moment, I became a sucker for him.

A year ago we decided we would start traveling for Valentines. We could celebrate our anniversary (he asked me to be his girlfriend on 2/14/15) and Valentines! So it was Valentine's morning and we were in our hotel room waking up in beautiful Puerta Vallarta. He looked at me and asked, "Will you be my Valentines?" Of course I said yes. Then he asked, "Will you be my Valentines forever?" I answered with, "Yes Honey Buns". Then he looked into my eyes and got really close and asked, "Will you marry me?" My answer was not yes. Instead I responded with, "Are you being for reals right now?" Then I said, "Of course I will!" And I'm pretty sure I did a little happy dance after I hugged him and kissed him!
