Yes, we will have shuttles running back-and-forth to the venue.! The venue is located on a dirt road with no guard rails. We do not allow driving to the venue unless previously approved. All guests (except wedding party & immediate families, who will come earlier) will be picked up at 2:00 pm from the 3 hotel blocks (The Denver Marriott West, The Fairfield Inn or The Sheraton Denver West) and brought to the venue. For the return trip, there will be one "early departure" shuttle at 8:30 pm. All other guests will be picked up at 10:00 pm (the end of the wedding) and brought back to their hotels.
North Star Gatherings is located at an altitude of just below 9,000 feet above sea level. This high elevation means visitors experience "thinner air" and may need to acclimate by drinking plenty of water to avoid altitude sickness and be more mindful of the effects of alcohol. We will have oxygen cans for those that need it. If you are really worried about the altitude, Amazon sells Altitude Sickness pills that work if taken about 2 weeks before you arrive in Colorado.
We are so excited to celebrate with all of our family and friends! However, due to venue size limitations, we kindly ask that only those named on your invitation attend. Our wedding will be adults-only.
Drink lots of water & stay hydrated! You should be drinking double the amount of water you normally drink to avoid altitude sickness. Remember... 1 drink at altitude equals 2 drinks at sea-level! Alcohol can hit you quick up there!
Semi-Formal- Please wear a nice suit or dress. No white please... we're saving that color for the bride! Please note: The venue is on a mountain with a dirt/gravel driveway and a deck that has gaps in it. Please do not wear spiked heals!
The ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. Our reception space is a mix of indoor-outdoor!
