Please RSVP by 9/27/2025
We have reserved a room block at a couple different hotels. Please book your stay by 1/2/2026 to guarantee a room in our block. Click on the link for the hotel located on the travel page or call the hotel directly and mention the Rodriguez and Mesel wedding while booking to receive our reduced rate.
If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block. If not, you can find additional nearby accommodations on our travel page.
This should take you so a search with the surrounding hotels and the approximate distance from the venue with any potential deals. "Rodriguez & Mesel Wedding :: Specially negotiated group hotel rates for our Wedding are below. The rates below may sell out or change, so we would advise booking as soon as possible." https://hotelblocks.zola.com/EventPage8178434
It will be mixed of inside and outside. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, while the reception will be inside with Air Conditioning.
Semi-formal attire: We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women and a suit and tie for men.
Ocala winter/spring are warm/chilly (ranging from 60-80 degree Fahrenheit; 15-27 degrees Celsius) in the mornings and can be chilly/cold (ranging from 40-70 degrees Fahrenheit; 4-21 degrees Celsius) during the evening. So we recommend a light wrap to cover bare shoulders or a nice jacket for the evening hours.
Parking is on-site
The doors to the venue will open one hour ahead of our ceremony time at 3pm. We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 15-20 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space (located about a 5-minute walk from the parking lot) and find a seat.
We would love any letters or notes written from you to be able to enjoy when we open this on a future anniversary. Even pictures with the letter, or advice or predictions. Anything that you think could make us smile; we would love to revisit in the future.
We wouldn't mind if you took pictures, we want our guests to truly be in the moment with us during this special day. Though we are not requesting a fully "unplugged" wedding we want you to be able to enjoy it and let our photographer/videography focus on that part.
We will be having a mixed Jewish wedding ceremony. Pulling certain traditions from Jewish culture such as the breaking of glass by the bride and groom (This act symbolizes both joy and sorrow, representing the shared experience of both happy and difficult times in married life. It also serves as a reminder of the fragility of marriage and the importance of nurturing the relationship.) As well as the "Hora" - The "chair dance" a traditional dance where the bride and groom are lifted onto chairs and danced around by their family and friends in a circle. This joyful tradition symbolizes lifting the couple to the heavens, representing their connection to God and spiritual world. Among other unifying items/events that will occur.
